UK family businesses Shepherd Neame Limited, the fifth-generation brewer, and Day Lewis Plc, the second-generation pharmacy chain, have been presented with the regional awards at the Coutts Prize for Family Business.
 
Shepherd Neame, which was founded in 1698, is the UK's oldest traditional brewer and has an annual turnover of £110 million, was named "Best UK Family Business, Southern England and Wales Region".
